Stipple Live Effect

Stipple is an Astute Graphics live effect for styling artwork with a shading pattern made of small dots. In contrast with Astute Graphics’ Halftone effect (part of the Phantasm plugin), the dots that make up the Stipple live effect are not on a regular grid, but are more randomly placed, to resemble an artist’s traditional hand-drawn stippling. Stipple is part of the Stipplism plugin.

Symbol Stipple Live Effect

Symbol Stipple is an Astute Graphics live effect for styling artwork with a shading pattern made of small dots created from one or more native symbols. In contrast with Astute Graphics’ Halftone effect (part of the Phantasm plugin), the dots that make up the Symbol Stipple live effect are not on a regular grid, but are more randomly placed, to resemble an artist’s traditional hand-drawn stippling. The dots can have their orientation controlled in many ways, providing for creative uses that go far beyond simple stippling effects. Symbol Stipple is part of the Stipplism plugin.
