For Plugin only subscriptions, we also offer a discount if you have an active subscription with us and you Refer a Friend. You receive 3 months added to your subscription, and your friend gets a 20% discount on their first year.

Astute Graphics is partnered with the billing provider and Merchant of Record: Paddle.

Paddle helps Astute Graphics collect and remit VAT (Value Added Tax) / Sales Tax where applicable.

Local VAT/sales tax charges may be applied to your annual plan fee if you reside in a country or state on this list.

Your payment and VAT receipt will be issued by Paddle who will be the Merchant of Record. You will see Paddle referenced on invoices/receipts, and your credit card statements will read: Paddle.net*ASTUTEGRAP.

Existing customers, if you have a VAT* (or any other form of sales tax) ID, or a Sales Tax Exemption Certificate (US customers) then please email valid documentation to assist@paddle.com, so Paddle can arrange for sales tax to be deducted from all future billings. Please include reference to Astute Graphics and your customer account email address when sending your information.

If you already have a valid VAT/Sales tax ID saved in your Astute Graphics account, this will remain current, and you will not need to resubmit your information.

Customers making a new payment through the checkout can enter their VAT* / Sales Tax ID before completing payment.

*Note for UK VAT-registered customers: since Paddle is a UK company, you will need to claim back the VAT as part of your VAT return. Paddle's UK VAT ID is: GB150848114. This VAT registration information will also be provided on your receipt.

Unfortunately we have decided to pause our student discount scheme for the time being due to external technical reasons.

Whereas it is possible that a student scheme will be reintroduced in the future, we don't currently have a timeline available.

For those of you with existing Student discount accounts, this means that when your current access ends you will need to purchase a full subscription to continue using the full suite of plugins.

• Referrers must generate a unique link for each referred friend. Each link can only be redeemed once.

• The referrer will receive a 3 month extension to their Astute Graphics subscription for each referred friend that successfully subscribes.

• The referred friend will receive 20% off a 12-month Astute Graphics subscription when subscribing.

• The referrer must be an existing active subscriber.

• The referred friend must be a new or lapsed subscriber that has not subscribed in the last 365 days.

• The referred friend must complete account registration using the email their referral link was sent to.

• If the referred friend previously had an Astute Graphics account, the referrer should ensure the link is sent to the email associated with that account.

• The Refer a Friend reward cannot be claimed by the same person that made the referral.

• Refer a friend rewards cannot be combined with other discount codes in a single order.

• Where multiple referrals are made, multiple rewards will be awarded to the referrer, subject to a limit of 4 successful referrals within a 12-month period.

• As the referrer is limited to making 4 successful referrals within a 12 month period, rewards may not be given in circumstances where those limits are exceeded.

• The reward is valid for 28 days from the point of issue to the referred friend, or until the referrer’s subscription expires.

• Rewards will be delivered to the referrer 10 working days after the referred friend's purchase.

• Once the referred friend has made a purchase and when the reward has been earned, the referrer will receive notification within their account in Astute Manager. An email confirmation will also be sent - please check the Promotions, Other or Junk folder if it's not present in the Inbox.

• Astute Graphics reserves the right to refuse a reward to any referred friend or referrer at any time.

• Team purchases do not qualify.

• Rewards have no monetary value and may not be redeemed for cash.

• Misconduct or suspicious activity may result in the removal of one or more rewards. Astute Graphics' decision is final.

• This offer is subject to change.

• Rewards will not be issued if a refund is requested and provided on the reward-qualified order.

Our Annual payment price was first set in September 2019 when we moved to a new business model, making it a full Annual subscription from September 2020. Prior to this, a full set of 16 of our plugins was priced at almost $600 USD.

The move to a subscription enabled us to provide the full set at the equivalent of what would once have bought 3 or 4 plugins, allowing the vast majority of customers to benefit from access to all tools and an ever-increasing output of updates and upgrades, rather than a restricted set.

In August 2021 we took the decision to raise the price slightly. At the time, we promised to keep existing subscribers at the original rate for another year, which we did. Then in September 2022 when another price increase was necessary for all customers new and old, those discounts remained for older subscribers.

2024 and 2025 saw some minor price adjustments across a number of currencies, with these changes (influenced by local market conditions and currency exchange rates) impacting only a very small number of customers.

February 2026 brings the first price increase for all new and existing customers since that of September 2022. We appreciate that this never comes as welcome news but we have tried to be as fair as possible and trust that our existing customers will recognise the continued value of our software.

This increase supports continued investment in the work and time put in by our engineers and wider team in research, development and maintenance, allowing us to expand on the developments of the past few years in which we have:

• Given continued priority to compatibility upgrades within 24 hours of major Adobe releases (for both MacOS and Windows).

• Produced continuous Astute Manager developments and improvements to further enhance the ownership experience.

• Developed Engineering resources to develop a steady stream of new plugin features, performance improvements, and stability fixes across the entire plugin range.

• Continued to invest heavily in training, documentation, and direct customer support.

• Launched Astute Manager Pro, a new Digital Asset Management service for Illustrator users and teams.

• Grown our user community to over 1,200 active members, offering early access to new features and direct dialogue with our team.

• Responded rapidly to customer feedback, with many requested improvements reaching beta testers within days.
