Astute Manager Pro customers
Astute Manager Pro doesn’t require a trial.
For individual users
The benefits are there to explore as soon as you install the Astute Manager - see How does Astute Manager Pro work for individual users?
For Teams
After creating your Astute Graphics account you go to Teams > AM Pro Teams > Upgrade to a Team Account and choose the Team Freemium Plan for free use of a team plan with some limitations. This allows a maximum of 3 users in the team.
If wishing to upgrade to a paid subscription you should:

Manage Account >
Switch Plan >
Click Select Plan beneath the plan that you wish to upgrade to
Then select Continue to checkout
After going through the checkout process you will receive confirmation that you are now on the new plan.
After purchasing your subscription will be set to auto-renew by default, but you’re under no obligation to renew. In the Billing section of your account you can opt to cancel so that your subscription will cease to exist when the current period comes to an end. If you then wish to reactivate the subscription, you will be required to enter payment details and checkout again.
Plugin customers
Your Free Trial will last for 7 days and it begins as soon as you install any one of the Premium plugins.
Once your trial has ended, click on the Subscribe button to purchase a subscription.
On the subscription, you receive ALL plugins and all plugins are automatically updated and upgraded during your subscription period. When your subscription ends, it will be necessary to renew it to continue using the plugins.

In the Billing section of your account you can opt to either pause the subscription renewal until you choose to renew again, or cancel altogether so that it ceases to exist entirely when the current period comes to an end.

If you are using an Intel-only Mac (the last Intel-only Mac hardware was the 2019 desktop Mac Pro), please note that we are not able to support Intel-only Mac hardware for the Astute Manager v4 in the medium term. In this instance, we can currently provide you with an Astute Manager v3 download on request, but we don't have a fixed date on how long that will remain available and so we strongly recommend testing your system's compatibility before renewing your Astute Graphics licence.
Multi users
Please note that we are not compatible with simultaneous multi user virtual machines such as Azure Virtual Desktop. For several technical reasons of license management, this is strictly not permitted by the software to avoid conflicts between user status. Please ensure that before switching between accounts, users fully quit the Astute Manager by selecting the "Quit" button in the bottom left hand corner.

The Astute Manager Pro subscription
The Astute Manager Pro subscription is a Digital asset management (DAM) system from Astute Graphics. It provides maximum time-saving features, allowing quicker, easier and more secure file sharing, organizing, backing up and restoring of Illustrator assets for the individual user or for Creative teams.
With the Astute Manager, all the stress and hassle of resetting your Illustrator preferences is gone, instead you can quickly back up and restore those preferences and settings along with all your own custom assets such as brushes and swatches at the click of a button. Brushes and workspaces are downloaded directly into Adobe Illustrator’s folder system, not the downloads folder. No need to quit Illustrator to install.

One installer
There is one Installer. The Astute Manager is our installer for all Astute Graphics services. You can use it to install and manage the features of:
A Plugin subscription.
An Astute Manager Pro Subscription.
Both of the above.
A Free Trial of the Plugins (a free service is available for AM Pro).
Yes, our software is now fully Illustrator 2026 compatible.
How do I update?
With the release of Illustrator 2026, the Astute Manager now automatically recognizes if this latest version is installed, and allows all new builds of Astute Graphics software to be added, so there is no need to download and reinstall your Astute Manager.
So to update, simply install 2026 in your Adobe Illustrator, then run and quit it.
Once you have done this, quit the Astute Manager (using the ☒ Quit option at the bottom of the left-hand menu in the Astute Manager window) and restart. If Illustrator 2026 has been installed and previously run, it will be auto-detected and available for plugin installation.

I'm having problems updating, what should I do?
If you are seeing a Host application error, please see Host Application error in Astute Manager.
If you have updated and you are not seeing your plugins, please see Detecting and adding plugins to new installations of Illustrator.

End of support for Illustrator CC2020
With the introduction of support for Illustrator 2026, we have ended support for Illustrator 2020. If you still have Astute Graphics plugins installed in Illustrator 2020, you will be notified in the Astute Manager that these are now orphaned. For further information on this, please see What are Orphaned plugins? for guidance on this.
macOS 26 (Tahoe)
The Astute Manager has been tested to be fully compatible with macOS 26. No further updates to the software are required for users of this latest Apple operating system.
End of support for macOS 10.x
After the introduction of support for macOS 15, we ended support for macOS 10.x.
If you are still using older versions of Adobe Illustrator, such as Illustrator 2021, on higher versions of macOS 10.x, such as macOS 10.15, it’s likely to function correctly. However, Astute Graphics can no longer guarantee this, and we are not able to provide technical support for pre-macOS 11 operating systems.
