How to update your Astute Manager

This article describes how to update a previously-installed instance of the Astute Manager.

It is not normally necessary to update the Astute Manager to access the latest subscription plugins however, there may be the rare occasion where an update is required. In such instances we will alert all customers.

If you have Auto-update switched on in your Astute Manager settings, then on opening the Astute Manager it will update to the most current version. If however, the Astute Manager window is saying that you must update, you are running an out of date version.

To check which version of Astute Manager you are running, go to Settings, there you will see Application info - Build:... listed on the right hand side.

macOS users

1. Quit the Astute Manager if already running (you may find it's still present in the top macOS Menu Bar)

2. Download the latest version

3. Open the downloaded AstuteManager.dmg disc image

4. Copy the Astute Manager app into the macOS Applications folder (confirm that you wish to overwrite the existing copy)

5. Run the updated Astute Manager in the Applications folder

6. Enter your user login password when prompted

Windows users

1. Quit the Astute Manager if already running (you may find it's still present in the lower Windows Tray)

2. Download the latest version

3. Run the downloaded AstuteManager.msi installer

4. Continue as prompted to complete the installation

5. The newly installed Astute Manager should open automatically following successful installation

6. Enter your user login password when prompted
